This vintage 1960s nightgown and peignoir set by Chevette is the epiphany of the mod aesthetic. Made from silky nylon with a sheer chiffon overlay in bold hues of lime green and yellow. The robe features an open front, closing at the neck with three fabric covered buttons. Extra fluffy elbow length sleeves and a slim dropped shoulder and ultra wide hem. The gown mimics the same trapeze style with a slim chest and tapered body, closing at the top of the shoulder with a single button. A removable wide satin bow adorns the shoulder, but could easily be moved or not worn at all. This set is electric; nobody did it quite like Chevette!

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
