Vintage 1960s nightgown and peignoir set from sheer petal pink chiffon. Multiple layers The bed jacket peignoir has a loose fit and is an open style, with wide cuffed sleeves and slouchy pockets that add texture. The babydoll style nightgown is sleeveless with a boatneck and a very low back. Multiple layers with gathered fabric at the shoulders create a dramatic allure, with bountiful folds and an asymmetrical hem. Angelic is the best word that comes to mind; an absolutely darling set!

CONDITION :
Very good: Hand washed and steamed without any holes or rips. A few scattered spots right at the hem in one spot, and there is a very faint grayish marking along what I assume to have been folds during storage. Marks are worse on the bed jacket, hardly noticeable at all on the gown but are there.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
