This vintage 1950s dress was made from an unlined pin tucked sheer black rayon chiffon. A wide boat neck detailed with delicate chantilly lace and spiraled chiffon piping. Sleek and fitted at the bodice with a nipped waist that closes at the side with a hidden metal zipper. Absolutely gorgeous, with complementary lace inserted spiral rows in the very full midi-length skirt. This stunning little number offers wonderful texture and provides a dark fairy princess allure. One of my very favorites!

Condition
Excellent: Very sturdy for wear. There are 2 very small holes in the chiffon, and one small center of one of the lace flowers is a bit frayed; did not attempt to repair because I worried it would distort the shape. I also noticed one small split in the lace on the right shoulder when I was editing photos; luckily this was just where the netting connected to a thicker outline of one of the flowers. It is now fixed and is not noticeable.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
