Vintage 1950s maternity girdle made of a very lightweight, pale nude quilted rayon blend fabric that is lined with cotton over the abdominals to provide a firm bit of support. Darted bullet cups detach at the strap with padded cups to support the underside of the bust, with corset lacing up the side to accommodate a changing figure. 18 white buttons on the other side for closure, with a button gusset crotch that can be removed for more versatility of wear. This very unique underthing has two metal stays to support the back and shape the figure, with 4 hidden buttons sewn at the hips for repair in case one goes missing. A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
