This very late 1940s to early 1950s 'basket' dress was made from black raffia lace that provides a stunning 3D texture. A wide shoulder that covers the very tips of the shoulders, with a snug, curve hugging fit that flatters the figure beautifully. A low back gives a subtle yet sensuous glimpse of skin while a scalloped hem that falls below the knee that maintains a respectable sense of modesty. This stunner provides a seamless look with side-zip closure, which likely makes this one of the earlier versions of this highly collectible dress.
