This vintage 1950s to early 1960s nightgown by Vanity Fair is made from silky lemon yellow nylon with a sheer white chiffon overlay which creates a lovely illusion style look. This gown features a unique bodice that is gathered at one side, with a lovely cherry blossom tree branch embroidered across the bust, adorned with a little satin bow at one side. Double looped straps give a nice touch. A long flowing skirt falls to the feet with a stunning center sash that is tacked to the center which creates an ethereal allure in the back. A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
