This vintage 1950s to 1960s nightgown and peignoir set was made from a gorgeous double lined sheer nylon chiffon material. Alternating panels of pale lavender and rich violet purple creates a stunning illusion and ethereal allure. The collar of the robe and front waist panel of the gown feature intricate gold threaded embroidery with a painted web pattern behind it. The robe is completely open, closing at the neck with a little gold button. Darling tulip wrap sleeves appear slightly hidden in the front, creating a cape-like look when worn. The gown has a deep V cut neck and back with a lovely gathered bust and double loop straps. Sleek and slim through the waist with a full skirt falling to the ankles. This set is one of the best that I have offered of the era. So special!

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
