Vintage 1940's Wedding Dress - Pearl White Rayon Satin with Cotton Lace Panels | XS, S

This vintage 1940s wedding dress was made from a bright pearl white rayon satin that offers a liquid like drape along the figure. Bias cut with an abundantly gathered bust and sweetheart neckline, with a sleek fitted body that cascades toward the ankle in the front. Mutton style sleeves that are puffed lace at the shoulders, tapering  into a slim fitting satin towards the pointed wrists. What makes this gown truly remarkable, are the gorgeous lace inserts intentionally cut to slim and flatter the figure from the backside, extending from the top of the shoulders into the 44 inch long train that trails behind the wearer. This gown slips on overhead, closing at the side with a row of buttons (which adds an additionally special touch). A gown that provides a quiet elegance at the frontal view, and a jaw dropping awe from the backside. Absolutely lovely!

Condition: Hand washed and steamed with no holes or rips. Gown is in incredible like-new condition; lace is strong with a healthy stretch and satin has no signs of thinning or wear. There is one small crease mark on the left sleeve right near the elbow and some water marks from steaming.
