Vintage 1940s teddy chemise by Lynn Loring, never worn with the original tag intact. This darling little teddy is made from a light weight silky rayon acetate blend that provides a stunning drape and high gloss. Bias cut with thin straps and a deep V neckline edged in floral cotton lace for a bit of decor. Slim and sleek with a cheeky short bottom. Easy slip on overhead with a double button diamond gusset crotch for closure.

CONDITION

Very good: Never worn, but I did remove the store tag to soak the teddy in an effort to remove some stains from storage, then reapplied the tag. Most were lifted, some very faint yellowing in some areas that is difficult to see without bright studio lights. One small hole near the hem.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
