This vintage 1940s slip by Rhythm Lingerie has never been worn, and was made from silky pale powder pink rayon. Bias cut with adjustable straps, with a deep V neckline edged entirely in intricate ivory lace. A very sweet floral applique adorns the right side of the bust with vertical stitching at the underside of the bust to flatter and lightly shape the bosom. Slinky and slim in fit with an A-line skirt falling below the knee. A very feminine and very pretty slip!

CONDITION :
Excellent: Never worn without any rips or tears. One small rusty colored spot on the lower skirt and a few faint surface marks that I believe will lift with a good soak. Slip was not washed in an effort to preserve the inner paper tag for those who collect deadstock items. A little chipping on one of the strap sliders.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
