This vintage 1940s dressing gown by Radcliffe was made from a semi sheer white rayon chiffon that is silky smooth against the skin. Bias cut with lovely pale nude cotton lace that adorns the neck, ruffled sleeves, and waist. This darling robe offers a very sweet essence with a loose bodice, puffed sleeves, and tiered skirt that is so very fun to spin around in. Elastic in the sleeve cuffs allows for comfort, and the cinched waist flatters the figure. Three little buttons at the neck and waist close the robe, while the center chest and skirt remain open to allow your underthings to shine. A perfectly versatile piece that can easily be styled and worn out of the boudoir.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
