This vintage late 1940s to early 1950s cusp robe by Najla of Hollywood was made from a lush quilted royal purple velvet material. Prim and very demure, this robe was tailored to flatter the figure while offering a sophisticated allure. Darted shoulders and subtly tapered sleeves give the classic silhouette of the era, with tailored stitching to cinch at the waist. Lined in a silky cream colored rayon taffeta which gives a nice contrast. An accompanying sash tie closes this robe at the waist, with a large side pocket that allows for you to hold your trinkets. This gorgeous robe falls to the ankle with a true A line skirt that grows wider toward the hem. A very fun, very beautiful piece.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
