Vintage 1940s quilted robe made from a silky white rayon satin with a bright floral print throughout. This darling robe has half moon padded shoulders to give the classic 40s silhouette, with long slightly tapered sleeves and gathered detail at the chest for extra allure. Slim fitting through the waist with an A line skirt that is slightly longer in the back that creates a gorgeous look from all angles. A large pocket on the side hip to hold your trinkets, and accompanying sash tie to cinch the waist. This robe is fully lined in blue rayon.

CONDITION

Very good - Excellent: Robe does not have any holes or rips, but some of the quilt stitching is loose. Batting is very thin so the robe is not very thick or heavy; has mostly worn away except for around the stitching (does not affect the look at all). A few very faint marks from age that blend in with the busy pattern. Lining has a purplish patina/fade to it in some areas.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
