This lovely 1940s robe is a classic! Made from soft and warm lilac chenille, with deep eggplant purple along the edges. Very flattering with a feminine fit, this robe has pointed straight shoulders with a sharp lapel collar. Long sleeves that slightly bell at the wrists, falling to the wrists. This robe has sewn in tie closure, with a long a-line skirt that falls to the ankle. A large pocket on the left side, with the most beautiful deep purple swirl design above the hem. This robe is perfect for any pinup rockabella, a great collector piece!

CONDITION - Very good to excellent: No holes or rips. One itty bitty orange spot on the inside of the robe, does not show through. One small spot at the edge of the inner edge that hides when tied shut. Hem was shortened and then released, a few small oxidation marks from it being tacked up. There is an inside tie, however one tie is missing. Very small spot that looks to be the start of a hole, about 3mm. An easy few stitches or minimal darning should take care of it!

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
