Vintage 1940's Peplum Skirt Suit | Black Rayon Velvet | Bias Cut Top with High Waist Skirt | 2 Piece Dress | Size XS - S
Availability:
A sexy 1940s peplum top skirt suit made of rich black velvet. The top is short sleeved with shoulder pads and a darling scalloped neck, with 5 velvet covered buttons for closure. A beautiful bias cut that darts in at the waist, and features a dramatic ruffled peplum hem, covering the very top of the hips in the front while cascading down to an angle well below the tush in the back. So stunning! The skirt sits high on the waist and drapes down through the hip with a slightly fitted shape, than flares out in a modest A line down to about mid-shin. The rear of the skirt has button snaps and a genuine feldspar stone button for closure. An incredibly feminine 'little black dress' with complete elegance and drama!
CONDITION - Excellent: It looks as though a small seam repair was made in the back under the button closure, but it is difficult to see.
* Black velvet is hard to photograph. If you'd like additional photos please ask!
