Vintage 1940's Peignoir Set | Peach Chinese Silk with Hand Embroidery & Frog Button Closure | Bridal Lingerie | Size 36, M, LG

This 1940s peignoir set is made of luscious peach Chinese silk with exquisitely detailed hand embroidery and detail. Completely hand sewn with keen attention to quality. The robe is long sleeved with embroidery throughout, including the silk covered button cuffs and pockets. Floor length with frog button closure and a sash tie at the waist, and a beautiful floral detail in the center neck on the back. The nightgown is bias cut with beautiful ruched detail on the bust, and a scantily low cut bodice and back. Slightly fitted through the upper part of the hip and a cascading skirt falling to the floor. This set has scalloping at the hems and is dripping with luxury. Would make an excellent lingerie set for a bridal trousseau or vintage collection!

CONDITION - Excellent: near pristine condition with no holes or rips. The peignoir has very light staining on the lower side above the hem, difficult to photograph (see last image.
