This vintage 1940s nightgown was made from a pale blush pink sheer rayon chiffon material. Made in Hungary, this gown offers a loose drape with intricate diamond grid pintuck detail across the bodice, with a drawstring inserted at the center chest for you to adjust how low you'd like your neckline and how fitted you'd like the bust. Delicate ruffled edging and a fitted insert at the waist, with attached ties to cinch the waist to your liking. This darling gown flows nicely while flattering the figure beautifully, with a mid-shin length hem for comfortable wear and movement. An absolutely lovely gown.

Label: None
Era: 1940s
Material: Rayon chiffon
Color: Pale blush pink
Size: Small, medium, M/LG (please see measurements)
Condition: Hand washed and steamed. One tiny pinhole and a few faint gray marks as pictured that I was unable to lift (I was not very aggressive with treatment). Largest is right at the hem towards the right seam.

Measurements: (taken flat, relaxed, and doubled):

Bust: 34-42”
Waist: 36-42"
Hips: up to 54"
Length: 50” from shoulder to hem

Fit Notes: Straight cut accommodates a variety of figures with side ties cinching the waist to your desired fit. Very flattering to the bust. Gown is light and airy so flows upon movement and is cool to the touch.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
