Vintage 1930s to 1940s pajama or lounge set hand made in Japan, made from sheer black silk chiffon which leaves very little to the imagination. Stunning with the top having a high Mandarin collar and long wide sleeves, closing up the center with white frog buttons. A beautiful hand-painted scene on either side of the chest provides a very special touch. The pants sit high with an elasticized waist and smooth paneled front. Long wide legs fall to the ankle. The set features delicate white lace trim for a sweetly feminine touch. A wonderful and wearable piece of history!

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
