This 1940s nightgown by Godfried is made from silky white rayon that glides beautifully along the form. With a bias cut bodice made almost entirely of sheer lace, with a darling light blue bow sewn in between the layers of lace. A lovely tulle ruffled round neckline and fluttered sleeves, with an incredibly low back which shows a modest yet sexy glimpse of skin. This beautiful gown is fitted through the upper hip, with a long skirt flowing freely to the ankle. Gorgeous lace panels adorn the bottom, with bow appliques and a ruffled hem. This stunning negligee is a perfect lingerie addition to a bridal trousseau, with your 'something old' and 'something blue'. A truly special gown!

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
