A stunning 1940s nightgown by the lingerie legend Fischer Heavenly Lingerie. Made entirely of very sheer white silk chiffon that falls beautifully along the figure. Sleeveless with a very deep ruffled plunge neckline, with the entire bodice made of intricate floral lace. Scantily cut deep open sides under the arms, with a low V cut back. All of which shows just enough to tantalize without sacrificing too much modestly. This very sweet gown falls to the ankle with a lace hem and an enormous 144" sweep that gives an ethereal floating affect while walking. Very flattering and perfect for a bride to be, yet too pretty to keep stowed away for too long!

CONDITION - Excellent: no holes or rips. Slight patina at the lower left side that I cannot get to show in a photo, but shows when held just right in very bright light. Has been washed and steamed.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
