This vintage 1940s nightgown & peignoir set was made from a sheer black rayon chiffon with a stunning plaid shadow print throughout. Both pieces featuring a flattering bias cut and ruffled chiffon that frames the necklines. The robe offers a lovely blousy bodice and long bishop style sleeves that close with fabric colored buttons, beautifully finished with complementary ruffled chiffon at the cuffs. Cinched at the waist with triple satin buttons for closure. The gown is slinky in fit with a very deep V cut neck and back. Very sexy, allowing skin to show from behind the pattern. Ankle length with a fluttery hem that sways upon movement. A truly beautiful set.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
