A lovely nightgown from the 1940s made of lush peach silk with a bias cut bodice and flattering square neck surrounded by exquisitely detailed alencon embroidered lace. A sleeveless style, with lace handkerchief covers over the tops of the shoulders. Very slinky and sensual, with a loose fit through the waist and hip, and a cascading skirt flowing to the floor and hemmed in lace. A gorgeous gown, with a braided tassel sash tie that can be tied however you choose, adding a figure forming, Grecian Goddess look that will surely leave you feeling as exquisite as can be! A lovely gown perfect for any boudoir lingerie collection.
CONDITION - Very good to excellent: There was one repair made at the seam to reconnect the lace to the silk in the center back, and one tiny pinhole on the left hip. The top of the right shoulder has a few dark lines that I was unable to lift when washing, though I did not treat the stain.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
