Vintage 1940s nightgown by Barbizon made from a very pale mint green 'cold' rayon material. A true beauty, with a wide ruffled boat neck allowing the dress to hang on the very tips of the shoulder. Bias cut with a sheer embroidered chiffon neck, closing at the center back with long string ties. This gown hugs the figure nicely to flatter the curves, falling to the ankle which gives an elegant allure and a nice bit of modesty. Subtle yet very sexy!

CONDITION :
Very good: Hand washed and steamed, one tiny little pinhole and a few faint marks. The hem looks to have been shortened slightly with a French roll (unnoticeable). There appears to be a very faint watermark at the waist that I didn't notice until the gown was under the bright photography lighting, which I attempted to photograph. I will try to wash this out and will update accordingly.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
