Vintage 1940s nightgown by Biastex made of a pale petal pink rayon fabric that is silky and light against the skin. Bias cut with a low V cut neckline and gathered bust edged in white eyelet lace. Beautiful shirred detail provides bountiful folds for added drama. Slinky fitting with a loosely fitted bust and hips that drapes nicely along the figure. Ankle length with a low back adds a nice bit of elegance. Beautiful!

CONDITION :
Very good: Hand washed and steamed without any holes or rips. A few small black dots that look like ink. One spot is a bit faded due to my error of using a highly concentrated stain remover on one of the black dots and one spot of darker pink. Flaws are small on the lower part of the back and hide very well.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
