Vintage 1940s nightgown and bed jacket set made of a lightweight icy blue silk that feels like heaven against the skin. Both pieces are beautifully adorned with pale floral lace with the nightgown having a deep center slit down the chest, tying at the neck into a bow. Cap sleeved and bias cut with an embroidered monogram on the right side of the chest displaying the initials RSR. The bed jacket falls to the waist with long wide sleeves that gather at the shoulder and the wrist giving a nice drape. An open-fit with a neck tie for closure, and two fabric-covered buttons at the cuffs. An absolutely gorgeous boudoir set.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
