This vintage 1940s dress was made from a very sheer white rayon chiffon material with a gorgeous array of large, bright flowers printed throughout. A wide nearly off-shoulder neckline with princess puffed sleeves that hide under a ruffled yoke give the sweetest allure. A gathered bust complements the sleek, fitted basque style waist. This incredible gown features an enormous skirt that pleats at the hip and tiers at the ankle, revealing the wide ruffled hem attached to the lining. Little black velvet ribbon bows adorn the center front of the skirt at upper right side of the chest, giving a sexy contrast to the very bright print. Side zip closure allows the gown to slip on easily overhead. Such an amazing dress!

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
