This 1940s maxi dress was made from a silky sheer robins egg blue rayon chiffon with a sewn in opaque lightweight taffeta slip lining. Absolutely gorgeous, with cloud like ruched puff sleeves and a gathered wrap style bodice made perfect with a sweetheart neckline. Bias cut with a slim waist and dramatically long, sleek skirt that falls to the floor. This darling gown cinches at the waist with attached sash that ties into a bow which adds an extra sweet touch. Side zip closure makes it easy to slip into. Perfect for garden parties or just because. This dress offers a very princess-like aesthetic.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
