Vintage 1940's Kimono Robe | Icy Blue Silk with Cherry Blossom Embroidery | Free Size

This 1940's hand sewn Japanese robe is made with icy blue silk with white silk lining. Stunning hand embroidery throughout the front and back, with cherry blossom sprigs and leaves adorning the front and an elaborate and colorful tree consuming the back. Loose sleeves falling below the elbow and completely sewn to the seam. Falling above the ankle with a sash tie, and sewn in belt loops to help secure its placement. This remarkable dressing gown is a beautiful collector piece, suitable for wear both in and out of leisure.
CONDITION - Excellent: Rarely if ever worn with no holes, significant stains or rips. There are 2 small brownish spots below the waist on the lining, that is not visible on the outside. Very faint, see last image.
