Vintage 1940s Japanese kimono robe that has been completely stitched by hand, made of a silky buttercream white rayon satin with a diamond damask pattern that plays with the light beautifully. A traditional draped kimono sleeve with a rayon lining elegantly adorned with gold stitching on the chest and the entirety of the back. A beautifully padded dragon with a village scene in shades of red, pink, and blue adds a nice contrast. This stunning robe can be worn open or closed at the waist with the accompanying sash tie. An absolutely gorgeous piece of wearable art!

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
