This vintage 1940s dressing gown robe was made from silky ruby red rayon satin with a gorgeous luster and heavenly feel. Very flattering, with a tailored fit to the bodice and beautiful shirred princess puff sleeves. This lovely gown is slender in cut, with a long brass zipper down the center for closure and a long sash tie to cinch the waist to your liking. A long hem falling to the ankle with a slight train in the back giving an elegant touch to the wearer. Exquisite!

CONDITION :

Very good to excellent: No holes or rips. Robe has been soaked and steamed but there were few dark spots that I was unable to lift. Some scuffs to the fabric that don't distract from the sheen.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
