This 1940s dressing gown is made of deep black silk velvet that graces and flatters the form beautifully. The bodice is cut on the bias with tailored stitching down the lower back and sides. A lovely gathered shoulder and wide slightly belled sleeves falling to the middle of the wrist give a decadent amount of glamour to the wearer. Rich deep fuchsia pink silk drapes around the neck and down the entire front opening, with two sewn in ties to cinch the waist. This stunning robe falls to the ankle and could easily be worn open as a sexy duster over your day wear. A truly beautiful robe!

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
