Vintage 1940's Dressing Gown Robe | Deep Peach Rayon Satin with Trapunto Stitching | SIze S, M
Vintage 1940s dressing gown robe made of a deep peach-hued rayon satin with a medium weight and very high luster. Bias cut with a gathered underbust and sleek fitted waist, long sleeves with puffed shoulders, and a trapunto embroidered collar all provide a flattering look to the wearer. This lovely robe is sleek through the hip and skirt, with sewn-in ties to cinch the waist. A long skirt falls to the ankle in the front with a longer train in the back which adds a bit of drama to the piece at all angles.
Very Good: Hand washed and steamed, fabric is in overall great condition. There are several marks toward the lower hem of the skirt, with the worst being at the edge of the rear train where there is also one small hole. One pinhole near the zipper, and one spot of fading.
