This darling 1940s dress was made from sheer, midnight blue-black rayon chiffon. Shoulder pads give the classic darted look with a sweetheart neckline and slit down the center of the bias cut bodice. Subtly sweet yet very sexy, with black sequin clusters and decor over the chest and shoulders. An attached black taffeta lining with pink straps that hide beneath the fabric giving the illusion of revealed skin and a sexy undergarment. A fitted waist and huge sweeping skirt that can be worn over a petticoat if you desire a more full effect. This lovely little piece has a button at the nape of the neck and revealing center slit, with button closure from the waist down. A very classic and simple dress with a dash of fun. Perfect for holiday parties or cocktail hours!

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
