Vintage 1940's Dress | Black Velvet & Chiffon with Lace | Evening Gown | Off Shoulder | Size S
A 1940s evening gown, with an off shoulder velvet and lace bodice and full, chiffon skirt. This gown is floor length and fully fitted in the bust and waist. The elaborate lace upper portion is covering a nude inner layer and covers the tops of the shoulders. The gorgeous velvet waist extends from the lower bust down to the waist, and covers the upper portion of the side hips. The velvet is stitched and cut with an angle at the center waist for decor, for a very flattering silhouette. There is eye-hook closure at the side and is well hidden beneath the velvet. The skirt is a chiffon top layer covering a black rayon inner layer. There is so much movement in this gown and it is a sure stunner. This beautiful 1940s darling would make an incredible formal gown to any event!
CONDITION - Very Good, there was a repair made on the chiffon layer right above the hem on the left side, and there are moth nibbles in a few areas above the hem. The nude shell has a few small holes that can be repaired but are honestly not seen under the lace. None of these flaws take away from its beauty, and is priced accordingly. see images.
