Vintage 1940s black silk velvet dress with a bias cut and padded shoulders to give the classic 40's silhouette. A deep v cut neckline closes at the chest with a hook and eye, with wide sleeves falling just a bit passed the elbow. Slinky and very flattering, with a lightly fitted waist that can be cinched with the long accompanying sash tie. This dress falls a few inches above the ankle and closes at the side with a metal zipper.

CONDITION

Very good: No holes, rips, or stains. One mend near the armpit on the back left side. Some wear due to age and crushing to the velvet at the underarm.
