Vintage 1940's Bra | Black Silk with Overwire & Double Strap Back | Size 32 C, 34 B, 36 A

Rare vintage 1940s strapless bra by Alene, a patented design well-known for the center loop wire connecting both cups, which are both satin lined and wire-framed. Black silk cups with vertical stitching to provide a subtle darted silhouette, with little ribbons at the center to tie in a bow. Stretchy elastic bands that cross one another at the back and hook at the opposite side. Plush felt lining at the underbust to protect the skin from friction and prevent sliding. A true collector's gem, as this was the first of its kind!

CONDITION :

Excellent: Hand washed and steamed, with no holes, rips, or stains. The Felt is a little worn and the center chest wire loop is uncoated but without tarnish.
