This vintage 1940s to very early 1950s nightgown by Australia's Patolaine was made from an exceedingly rare early nylon material that feels crisp to the touch, aiming to mimic rayon chiffon. A very sheer cream color with 'shadow' pinstripe pattern throughout gives a very luxurious allure. This sweet little gown features gathered chiffon detail that frames the bust and down the center of the straps that gives a flirty allure. A sleek fitted waist and gathered hip flatters the curves, with rows of ruffled lace adds additional adornment. A wide A line skirt falls to the ankle with a ruffled hem. A very feminine and absolutely darling nightgown!

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
