Vintage 1930's Robe | Black Silk Velvet with Champagne Rayon Satin Lining | Size M, LG
This elegant 1930s robe was made with lush, deep black silk velvet and is completely lined in silky golden champagne rayon satin. Bias cut and beautifully fitted through the waist, with a pointy Peter Pan collar and darling 3/4 length sleeves falling bellow the elbow to about mid-forearm. This very heavy and warm robe has an inner tie as well as button closure at the waist and chest, which can easily be let down for a gorgeous deep V cut. A wide open skirt falling to the ankle, with a stunning ruched detail at the lower back which creates tons of folds and incredibly feminine silhouette. Photos truly do no justice for its beauty. This robe can easily transform into a formal coat due to it's durability and weight. Decadence at its finest!
CONDITION - Excellent: no holes or rips. There is some discoloration on the lining that is not obvious when worn and does not affect the beauty at all. The front waist button has lost a bit of fabric,
