These vintage 1930s tap pants by Seamprufe were made from a sweet powder pink silk satin material. These little knickers rise high with an elastic waist that provides an always perfect fit, with a bias cut that flatters the figure nicely. Intricate off-white cotton lace appliqués add a luxurious touch at the legs and gusset as well as the hems of each leg opening. Absolutely lovely.

Label: Seamprufe

Era: 1930s

Material: Silk satin, cotton lace

Color: Powder pink, ivory

Size: XS, small (please see measurements)

Condition: Hand washed and pressed. There was one seam repair that is not noticeable; mentioned for transparency. One faint age mark near the waist that was very difficult to capture; very bright light has to hit it just right to be visible.

Measurements:

• Taken seam to seam laying flat, relaxed, then doubled

• Maximum stretch given for comfort without applying stress to seams

Waist: 24-30"

Hips: up to 39"

Length: 13.5” sides

Length: 17" waist to center gusset

Fit Notes: Bias cut and silk material accommodate a variety of sizes in the hip region. Rise to natural waist, fluttery in the seat and leg openings so not constricting. This pair may be a bit 'cheeky' when worn.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
