Vintage 1930's Pajama Set | Champagne Silk Damask with Mandarin Collar & Chiffon Ruffles | Size M, LG
This stunning 1930s pajama set was made in Japan with gorgeous champagne silk floral damask. Truly sophisticated with an Art Deco flair, with a a sleek and tailored look. The top features a raised Mandarin style collar, with wide bracelet sleeves falling just above the wrist. Gorgeous pleated chiffon ruffles along the center, with frog button closure, pockets, and a detachable sash tie to cinch the waist for a flattering fit. The pants sit high on the waist with a flat band in the front and elastic back. These pants have tapered legs with a huge 24" leg opening. The pants fall to the ankle, with seams in the center back of each leg. This gorgeous and very glamorous set looks like it was made for a Hollywood starlet, and does not appear to have been worn. This could easily be worn as a pant suit, and each piece would work beautifully as part of an outfit. So pretty!
CONDITION - Very good to excellent: I do not believe this set was worn. I’ve washed the set and removed several age spots, but there is still a small mark on the right leg hem and I’ve found the beginning of a hole in the leg. Could very easily be darned or reinforced with fusing fabric.
