This 1930's nightgown from Marshall Field & Company was made from a rich rose pink silk satin material with a high luster that absolutely sparkles. Bias cut with a flattering deep V cut neck and back, both edged in warm nude cotton lace. The bodice features intentionally placed appliqués that seem to  accentuate the entire shape of the gown. Sleek and slinky with a figure loving drape and very long ties that cinch the waist to your liking. This stunning gown falls to the ankle, nicely finished with complementary lace gores that widen as well as decorate the hem. An exquisite representation of 30's loungewear.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
