This vintage 1930s nightgown by Reliance was made of rich peach silk that is light in weight with a lovely matte finish. Bias cut with fluted sleeves that cover the very tops of the shoulders. A flattering, low square neckline edged entirely in deep nude lace with 2 little silk rosettes adorning the right of the chest. A loose drape that falls beautifully along the figure, with sewn-in silk ribbons that cinch the waist, tying behind the back. A long ankle-length skirt slenderizes the figure and gives a modest yet elegant touch.

A Note on Buying Vintage
A Note on Buying Vintage
This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:
• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina
These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.
Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
