This early 1930s nightgown was made from a decadent semi-sheer ivory silk material. Hand stitched with decorative stitching and artfully crafted inserts that create the most magnificent silhouette, this gown is truly something special. Wide fluttery petal-like sleeves grace the shoulder, with exquisite hand crafted Irish crochet lace inserts and satin grape vine embroidery across the bodice that could be studied for hours. This gown is loose fitting through the waist and hip, falling to the ankle or inches above for taller frames. A true one of a kind collectible gown.

Label: None
Era: Late 1920s to early 1930s
Material: Silk, cotton lace
Color: Ivory
Size: XS, small (please see measurements)

Condition: Hand washed and pressed. Fabric is very strong as is the lace. There is some very faint foxing from age. One mend to reconnect lace to silk at the center back and one very small hole on the lower side near the seam. Displays beautifully.

Bust: 32-34”
Waist: 29-33"
Hips: up to 44"

Fit Notes: Fitted at the upper bodice while being looser in the waist and hip. This gown mimics the late Edwardian era in fit while still accentuating the body's shape for modern flair (of the time). Drapes over the hip and falls to the ankle. Length may shorten slightly when worn. Model in video is 34 bust, 29 waist, 39 hip and is 5'7 for reference.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
