Vintage 1930's dress made of an airy rich apricot silk chiffon that is semi-sheer, with a pink under-dress to preserve modesty. A flattering sweetheart neckline with a ruffled detail framing the gathered bust, with puffed princess sleeves and a stunning honeycomb smocking over the waist and upper bodice. Side button-snap closure with attached ties to cinch the waist. This gorgeous gown falls to the ankle with a slightly fluted hem, giving a subtle glimpse of skin thanks to a low back. Perfect for garden parties and photoshoots.

CONDITION :

Good-very good: Dress has been hand-washed and steamed, but I got a few watermarks on the front waist which I will wash out prior to shipping. The fabric itself is very strong and perfect for wear, but the bottom of the skirt has several holes and one dark mark directly at the hem. The dress could be shortened if too much of a bother, otherwise they do hide well thanks to the underdress.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
