Vintage 1930's Maxi Dress | Buttermilk Floral Chantilly Net Lace with Ruffled Bertha Collar | Size XS, S

Vintage 1930s maxi length dress made from a buttermilk white floral Chantilly net lace material. Absolutely lovely, with a bias cut and ruffled bertha collar that extends well beyond the waist in the low cut back. This dress hugs the curves with a gored skirt that flutes out at the hem to provide an elegant trumpet silhouette. Fits over the head and closes at the side with button snaps.

CONDITION

Very good: Hand washed and steamed. Fabric is thick and has a stretch to it. I only found a few holes in the lace. There are lace pieces at the underarms that have a pastel yellow weave. Some discoloration primarily in the lower skirt that was difficult to photograph; best seen in full length photos.
