These vintage 1930s tap pants were made from a luscious white silk material with a stunning rose print damask pattern throughout. These little panties were completely stitched by hand, which suggests that these were made with both detail and luxury in mind. High waisted with triple button closure at the side, with stunning embroidery at both sides of the hip, beautifully adorned with waffle cutout details. Loose and fluttery at the hip to offer a flattering, modest yet cheeky allure. A wide gusset crotch allows for full coverage and comfort. Absolutely lovely!
Label: None, but the green embroidered label and embroidery style along with delicate hand-stitching is very telling that these may have been made by Jean Lindsay of Shanghai; a luxury label from the garment district of China in the 1920s-1930s Era: 1930s Material: Silk Color: White Size: XS (please see measurements)
Condition
Excellent: Hand washed and pressed with no holes, rips, or stains. Buttons look to have been moved an inch to make the waist smaller, can easily be moved back to get the intended 26 inch waist as labeled.
