Vintage 1930s dressing gown robe made from a decadent pale bronze colored Chantilly lace with a stunning iridescence and intricate floral pattern. Rose pink silk charmeuse lining adds to its luster. Cut on the bias with a slender fit, nicely adorned with a bertha collar that drapes over the shoulders and down the center back. A gored skirt offers an elegant mermaid silhouette. Button snap and floor length sash ties for closure.

CONDITION
Good: Hand washed and steamed without any visible issues. Lace holds its integrity and still has a good stretch. There were some repairs to the lace however a few breaks remain (as pictured) as I did not want to distort how it lays. Silk is still strong, but has a small hole in the center back and repairs near the arm holes. Also a tear near the armpit that could easily be patched. Mended holes where the button snap closure is sewn into the robe with darning to support it. Also could be patched or snaps can be removed altogether. Robe is still wearable and flaws are not visible when worn.
