This 1940s dressing gown is perfect for the Old Hollywood boudoir! Made of rich, very silky champagne rayon satin charmeuse fabric, with a high luster that plays beautifully with light & shadows. Bias cut with a deep open bodice, framed with softly folded lapels to that flatter the bosom. A lovely gathered shoulder and wide 3/4 sleeves that hang from the forearm. A draped back creates a stunning silhouette, with a wide fitted waist closing with hidden button-snaps and adorned with textured glass buttons that sparkle. A long, sleek skirt that is gathered at the hip, accentuating the curves and creating gorgeous folds in all the right places. A glitz and glam classic style that is as chic as it is subtle, pairing perfectly with just about anything but just as great when worn over nothing at all.

CONDITION - Very good: there are some faint age spots primarily in the lower left back toward the hem with some on the sleeves. Several tiny pinholes. Has been soaked, washed, and ironed.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
