This late 1920s/early 1930s beach pajama set is made from sheer and soft mint green silk. Consisting of a one-piece sleeveless jumpsuit and matching bed jacket, both completely adorned with intricate ecru alencon lace. The bed jacket has a loose and draped fit, with wide, open batwing sleeves made entirely of lace. Falling to the waist and tying in the center chest with satin ribbon straps. The jumpsuit offers a very flattering fit with a fitted bodice made of sheer lace, with side ties and button closure at the side and top right shoulder for easy wear. A loose hip and wide legs to give a glamorous silhouette, falling to just above the ankle. The pant hems are trimmed in lace bringing the whole set together very beautifully! A very rare and truly special set!

CONDITION - Very good: No holes or rips, though the bed jacket has a mended spot in the back that is about 1/2" long and is not invisible. The set has several light age spots; on the bed jacket they are predominantly on the front, while the jumpsuit has some scattered spots on both sides of the hips. The set has been hand-washed but the spots were not treated.

A Note on Buying Vintage

This is an antique or early vintage garment made from delicate materials such as silk, fine cotton, lace, or early synthetics. These textiles may display signs consistent with age, which includes:

• natural fiber fatigue
• gentle thinning at stress points
• subtle irregularities inherent to early manufacturing
• age-related softness or patina

These qualities are authentic to historic garments and are considered part of their character, not defects, unless otherwise stated.

Notable flaws, such as excessive wear, stains, holes, or rips will always be photographed and disclosed in the condition notes.
