Vintage 1930's Beach Pajama Set | Mint Green Silk Crepe de Chine with Silk Rosette | Size XS

These 1930s beach pajamas are as gorgeous as they are rare. Made of buttery soft silk crepe de chine in a delightful and creamy shade of mint green. The sleeveless top has a loose fit through the waist, with the length stopping right at the lower part of the waist. A lovely round neck with a little pink silk rosette at the center of the keyhole chest gives a very subtle and feminine touch. Sewn in loops at the waist with a long pale pink ribbon to cinch and flatter the waist. The palazzo pants drape beautifully, with a very high banded waist and huge 33" leg opening that gives a stunning shape and movement to the wearer. Closing at the right side of the waist with looped tabs and eye-hook closure, with 3 button-snaps down the hip for easy wear without stressing the seams. This exquisite set is a classic fashion for the 30s admirer, and can easily be worn out as a very chic pant set.

CONDITION - Very good: No holes or rips, but there are repairs and a few marks from age. I found 2 on the top and a few light scattered marks on the pants. Crotch seam has been professionally reinforced, and there was a repair made under the left arm around the hole and at the top/back near the armhole seam. Slight stress on seam under repair on top. Ribbon is a replacement but I have the original and will include it. Two slits at the neck where a ribbon was once laced through, could easily replace. Still completely durable for wear, the fabric is strong and lush. Flaws do not distract from their beauty even slightly! See photos, more available.
